Incorporated in 1882,  the City of Deland is home to Stetson University and is just 20 minutes from Daytona Beach and 30 minutes from Orlando.

Downtown Deland brings your shopping and entertainment to a new level. Old school shopping experience in a quaint downtown environment, that opens up the evening to many choices of restaurants and entertainment spots.

A lot of things happen on Mainstreet, come on down and be part of it.

After years of theatre activity including live entertainment, movies and special events, the theatre is being revitalized by the Mainstreet Association and other residents of the area.

The name of the theatre is attributed to the idea that Deland would be called the Athens of the South.
